WHAT DID YOUR PARENTS DO IN THEIR CAREERS NOW OR WHEN YOU WERE GROWING UP? DID THIS INFLUENCE YOU?
Mom was a Secretary. Dad was a Scenes of Crime Detective in the West Midlands Police Force. The photography idea came from him, as he practiced quite a lot of photography with his job and bought me my first camera.

HAVE YOU BEEN CREATIVE FROM A YOUNG AGE?
I think so, always loved to paint, draw, play music and day dream….Think that was a running comment on school reports.

WHERE DID YOU STUDY?
I studied an Art Foundation at De Montfort University, HND in Photography at Kent Institute of Art and Design, PQE in Photography at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design

WHAT JOBS HAVE YOU HAD/DONE PRIOR TO BECOMING A FREELANCE ARTIST?
Paper boy, Car Cleaner, Garden Center worker, Construction worker, Insurance Broker, Photography Assistant.

My studio is in the LES, Manhattan, NYC

HOW/WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO WORK IN YOUR CHOSEN CAREER?
Easier than painting or making it as an artist ??

DID YOU ASSIST? IF SO WHO AND WHEN?
I assisted from 1995-1999Steven Klein, Juergen Teller, Mark Borthwick plus many others!!!

DO YOU WORK WITH A TEAM OF ASSISTANTS NOW?
I tend to work with 2 assistants, sometimes 3, sometimes 1, sometimes alone! Depending on the commission.

Nature, People, Photography, Art, Cities, Travel.

Simple, Direct, Modern, Contemporary, Environmental, Honest, Technical.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST CHALLENGING BRIEF?
Hard to pick one particular job as every brief has its challenges, which is what makes our job so rewarding.

DESCRIBE SOME OF YOUR PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS, TRAVELS ETC?
Working for myself and sustaining a successful career in Photography, as its such a competitive industry to work in .Through my work I’ve have been lucky enough to be taken to some amazing parts of the world and see things that you would not ordinarily see. Towns and cities like Chernobyl, Tehran, Brasilia and countries like South Korea & Syria.
